I went to this concert of my hostmom today and well, it was a blast. It was in the cityhall of Reykjavik (which I think is a very nice building) and I took only three pictures. I really wanted to show this one because I really really liked the outcome.

Today wasn't an ordinairy saturday. Why you might ask? I had to go to school. Yes, to school on a saturday. I never actually did that before. So uhm... yes. I took my camera along. Hihi... I'm totally in love with my new camera. I drag it basicly everywhere around. 
I think people already start thinking that I'm a freak. Hihi...

Messing around

Ok, so I have a new digicam (Canon PowerShot A300) and I was messing around with it. I figured out I still have to learn a lot about this camera. It has a lot of buttons etc. and my previous camera well... didn't have that because it dated from the year 1997. 
Wim is in the pictures a lot because he was around me when I purchased this digicam. My advice man.

Sleep over

Yup, I slept over at Lobke's yesterday because my brother was having an extreme Icelandic party (read: a lot of alcohol) for his birthday and well... I wanted to give him this sort of 'privacy'. Mom and dad are in Prague so... Lobke and I had quite some fun with our digicams. We made a lot of pictures from Lobke's hostsister Svana and her hostbrother Eyþor. Will post the photos soon. My camera just decided that he doesn't want to put the photos on the computer. 0)

Yups, it snowed today and I made quite a lot of pictures of it. Yay!
Oh and these pictures are made in the afternoon. The first part around half past one, the second part around half past three.
And another thing: What's with the Icelandic wood thing? Hihi... actually there aren't any real woods in Iceland and a lot of people make jokes about them. So, if there are more than 6 trees next to eachother you can basicly call it a wood here.

Today was Amma's (amma is Icelandic for grandma) birthdayparty. Well, birthdaydinner actually. After the diner, Amma gave me her book. She wrote a book about her life and about her weaving etc. It's a awesome book and I was so happy when I got it.

I made some pictures while I was on my way to Lobke's place. She was sick today and I had a day of from school so we decided we could spend some time together. We ended up watching a bunch of movies like Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone and a part of Lilo and Stitch.

Two months in Iceland
|
|
We sort of celebrated our two months in Iceland by going down town Reykjavik to a coffeehouse. We met at 7 pm on the square and than the waiting for Stijn started. Finally we went into a cafe for a drink. Lot's of strange pictures, you don't have to tell me, ok?
